Introduction

The Aspire is Ford’s first-ever sub 4-metre compact sedan in the Indian market. The car was introduced in August 2015 in India. The car is available in four trim levels - Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. There are three engine options to choose from, two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol comes only with automatic transmission. The car is being manufactured at Ford’s facility in Sanand, Gujarat.

The Aspire competes against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Tata Zest, Hyundai Xcent and others in the segment.

Ford had also launched a limited edition of the Ford Aspire called the Sports Edition. The car is only available in the Titanium trim. The car comes with tweaked suspension along with bigger 15-inch wheels and a few cosmetic tweaks such as piano black slats in the front grille and side decals.

Exterior Styling and Color:

The car features Ford’s latest Kinetic design language. The front end of the car features a hexagonal front grille with four chrome horizontal slats. The car gets wraparound swept back headlamps. The lower part of the bumper gets fog lamps in beefy black plastic surround. The car sits on 14-inch wheels on all variants, but only the Titanium and Titanium+ get alloy wheels. The ORVMs get integrated turn signals. The rear end is clutter-free with a chrome strip on the boot-lid and nicely integrated tail-lamp cluster. 

The car is available in seven colour options - Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Absolute Black, Deep Impact Blue, Smoke Grey and Moondust Silver.

Interior Styling

The Figo Aspire comes with charcoal black and light oak (beige and black) interiors. The seats are beige in colour, and the range topping Titanium+ variant gets leather seats. The Figo has a 4.2-inch display with an in-built music system, which comes with SYNC2.0 multimedia on Titanium+ trim while the lower variants get MyFord Dock system. The car gets steering mounted controls for Bluetooth telephony and audio controls. The car also gets SYNC Applink entertainment system with voice commands, automatic climate control and MyKey customizable driving key.

Safety Features:

Driver side airbag is a standard feature across all variants and the Titanium+ variant gets six airbags. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) is standard Trend trim onwards and is optional on the base Ambiente trim.
