Tata Nexon India Launch On September 21; Bookings Open

Indian automaker Tata Motors will launch its much-awaited compact SUV Nexon on 21st September 2017. Bookings for the Tata Nexon has officially commenced from September 11, for a token of Rs11,000 across all Tata showrooms in India.

It will be Tata Motors first subcompact SUV in the highly competitive segment. The Nexon will compete against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport, along with other compact crossovers and SUVs like the Mahindra TUV300 and the Honda WR-V.

Exterior and Interior Styling:

The new sub-4 meter SUV will be available in four variants - XE, XM, XT, and XZ+ and in both petrol and diesel engine options. The top-spec trim of the Tata Nexon gets machined alloy wheels, dual-tone roofs, projector headlights, LED DRLs, antenna with GPS, two cup holders with the rear arm rest, door open and service due reminders, day-night IRVM, park assist system with rear camera and guidelines, front fog lamps with cornering function, rear fog lamps and defogger, driver seat height adjustment, seat belt adjustment for front passengers, push button start with sensors on the door for unlocking and locking the car,

Tata Nexon’s interior is equipped with three-tone interior with premium full-fabric upholstery, multiple cubby holes and cup holders, umbrella holder in the front door, and glove box with utility moulding across all variants. The top spec additionally gets the central console with front armrest and sliding tambour door, rear 60:40 split seats and a 6.5-inch floating touchscreen ConnectNext infotainment display in the ZX+ model.

Tata Nexon is available in five exterior colours - Vermont Red, Moroccan Blue, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey and Calgary White.


Tata Nexon will come in both petrol and diesel trims. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2L turbocharged Revotron motor that produces 110Ps of power and 170Nm of peak torque. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which joins the Revotorq family, makes 110Ps of power and 260 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
